Water enters through the 1″ NPT connection and passes through the stainless steel vortex nozzle, where precision golden ratio geometry creates a powerful structured vortex. The Ultra Imploder uses 1″ NPT connections on both ends. Water enters the vortex nozzle end and exits the magnetic array end. The included pivoting mounting bracket secures the unit to any wall, floor, or ceiling surface. Allow 32.3″ (821 mm) clearance along the pipe run.
Whole-home main line (recommended): Install on the 1″ main water supply after the shutoff valve and PRV. Every tap, appliance, and fixture in the home receives treated water. Use SharkBite 1″ push-to-connect for copper or PEX, or standard 1″ NPT threaded couplings. Secure with the included mounting bracket. Installation Guidelines
The Ultra Imploder weighs 33.94 lbs — significantly heavier than the Super Imploder. The all-steel construction eliminates polymer stress concerns, but the weight itself requires proper mounting:
Always use the included mounting bracket. The pivoting bracket must be secured to a wall, floor joist, or structural surface with appropriate fasteners before connecting piping. Never allow the full 33.94 lbs to hang from pipe threads alone.
Secure both ends. Support the pipe on both the inlet (nozzle) and outlet (magnetic array) sides with pipe hangers rated for 1″ steel pipe. The mounting bracket handles the body weight; pipe hangers prevent bending at the threaded connections.
Use unions for service access. Install a 1″ NPT stainless steel union on at least one side so the unit can be removed for inspection or relocation without cutting pipe.
Do not use a torch near the magnetic sleeves. When soldering or brazing nearby copper fittings, use Viega ProPress or SharkBite push-to-connect instead. Excessive heat can degrade the Zylan coating on the magnetic housing and weaken the neodymium magnets.
Any orientation works. Horizontal, vertical, or angled — the mounting bracket pivots to accommodate all positions. Ensure the bracket is secured before connecting piping.
Water flow direction matters. Water must enter the vortex nozzle end (large diameter) and exit the magnetic array end (pipe). The nozzle end is marked on the unit.
