Description
Magnetic Water Conditioning — Compact, Powerful, Zero Maintenance
The Fractal Water ReCharger is a pure magnetic water conditioning device designed for inline installation on any 3/4″ water line. Featuring two high-powered N35 neodymium magnets in opposed-pole configuration within a compact Technyl housing and steel magnetic circuit, the ReCharger delivers the magnetic treatment stage of our technology as a standalone unit — ideal for downstream boosting, point-of-use protection, and standalone magnetic conditioning.
How It Works
Water flows through the ReCharger’s dual neodymium magnetic array, generating a strong magnetic field across the entire flow path. The two N35 neodymium magnets (10mm x 25mm x 74mm each) are installed with north poles facing each other, creating a concentrated opposing-pole field that maximizes the Lorentz force on dissolved minerals. Calcium carbonate is restructured from hard calcite into soft aragonite. The result is water that resists scale buildup, flows more freely, and delivers minerals in a more bioavailable form.

Downstream Boosting with Imploder Systems
For maximum effect, install a ReCharger downstream of a Super Imploder or Ultra Imploder to extend the magnetic treatment through longer pipe runs. The Imploder provides the vortex structuring stage, and the ReCharger reinforces the magnetic conditioning at the point of use — delivering the strongest possible treatment at the fixture or emitter.

Installation Guidelines
The ReCharger’s Technyl housing is lightweight (1.51 lbs) and compact, but proper installation practices ensure long-term reliability:
- Support the unit independently. Do not allow the ReCharger to hang unsupported between pipe runs. Secure the pipe on each side with hangers or straps within 6 inches of the NPT connections.
- Use two wrenches for threading. Hold the ReCharger body with one wrench while turning the fitting with the other. This prevents torsional stress on the housing.
- Do not over-torque. Thread hand-tight plus 1-2 turns with a wrench. The Technyl housing is strong but can crack under excessive torque — let PTFE tape provide the seal, not brute force.
- Protect from impact. The steel magnetic tube adds rigidity, but the Technyl end connections should be protected from direct impact during and after installation.
- Any orientation works. Horizontal, vertical, or angled — the ReCharger operates in any position. Vertical is lowest stress on the housing.
- Temperature limits. Technyl PA 66 GF30 is rated to 110°C (230°F) continuous service. Suitable for hot water lines but do not install on steam lines.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the ReCharger last?
The neodymium magnets retain their strength for decades, and the Technyl housing is rated for 20+ years in continuous water contact. Expected system lifespan: 30+ years with zero maintenance.
Can I use the ReCharger by itself?
Yes. The ReCharger delivers standalone magnetic water conditioning. It converts calcite to aragonite, prevents scale, and improves water flow on any 3/4″ water line without needing a vortex nozzle or Imploder system.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. Thread it inline on any 3/4″ NPT connection with PTFE tape. Most installations take under 10 minutes. No special tools required — SharkBite push-to-connect fittings make it even easier on copper or PEX pipe.
Does it require electricity?
No. The neodymium magnets are permanent — no power, no batteries, no consumables.
What is the difference between the ReCharger and the Super Imploder?
The ReCharger provides magnetic conditioning only. The Super Imploder provides dual-stage treatment (vortex structuring + magnetic conditioning). For maximum effect, use both — the Super Imploder on the main line and a ReCharger at the point of use.
How many ReChargers do I need?
One per point of use. If your main line is treated by an Ultra Imploder or Super Imploder, add one ReCharger per branch line that runs more than 20 feet to the fixture or appliance.
Does it work on hot water?
Yes. Technyl PA 66 GF30 is rated to 110°C (230°F) continuous service — suitable for hot water lines, water heaters, and dishwasher feeds.
